Curated by Sherri Chisan and Shane Golby

Show runs from October 15, 2005 - January 8, 2006

I'm honored to be included in the works to be displayed in this show. It's an Alberta Centennial event showcasing the efforts of Native Artists across Alberta and Canada. Ever since I was a small boy I dreamed of having my work displayed at the Edmonton Art Gallery, and this October it will happen. It is a small thing, compared to the greats like Alex Janvier and Jane Ash Poitras (both internationally reknowned artists who live and work in this province) but it is the fulfillment of a dream none the less.

Here is the piece they have chosen, on display courtesy of a Very Nice Family:

Thank you!

I'm very happy I get to take my mom along with me. If anyone should be there, it's her. Growing up, even when money was tight I always got supplies I needed.

She's always been there to encourage me to pursue my art. There have been times when it seemed impossible and I wondered if I were simply spinning my wheels, but she's always been there with the right words.

Of course, it's still a struggle, but things are better than they have ever been, and I'm so happy to share this with her.
