First the Ice Cap ( the absolute best of all iced cappuccinos out there) and now the Hot Smoothie. I really think Tim Hortons is trying to kill me.

In other news, I have a winner for the first sketch. I'll contact the winner tomorrow and post a scan of the sketch I'm sending out.

I also have a backlog of paintings to post, so I'll do my best to get some of that up within the week.

This autumn has had the most beautiful weather. Tomorrow is going to be very warm, and so I'll try to finish my work early and go kick the leaves in the river valley wood. The intensity of the season's colours has faded, leaving behind a nice "lived in" brown..like an old sweater or a cozy, faded courduroy jacket. Dark, rich shades as subtle as the light on snow, bare branches reaching their fingers heavenward. Imploring, or praising, or maybe both. The air is clean and dry and redolent with comfort, with the smells of soil and sleep. Everything is waiting...waiting...waiting for the snow to come and cover the earth in a cool, white blanket, lulling us into the long dark.

Oh no! I'm an Ice Cap addict and the last thing I need is another Tim Horton's addiction...

Ho, Aaron!

How goes the show?

It has rained nearly incessantly all month here, and I am jealous of your weather.

Andrea: I know what you're saying. At least the Tim Horton's is up a ridiculously long flight of torturous stairs.

Natascha: You're lucky you are in Spoain and don't have the delicious evil called Tim Horton's. All it does is supply sugar and coffee to all us little worker ants. Not that I'm complaining...

Selena! It's great to hear from you! Yes, fall here is like walking through elysian dreams of Gold and Crimson and dry, cool evenings of blue.

pg: Thank you. I love visiting your site as well and seeing your new work.
