To me, this is one of the funniest things to observe in Nature. A big, strong, powerful crow being harried, harrassed and hunted down by birds a tenth it's size as they protect their nest from the unwanted intruder. The aerial display on such occasions is outstanding and often breathtaking as the big Corvid attempts to outrun the little, determined torpedoes that are completely focussed on their task. It is also a great lesson. I sometimes feel small in the face of great problems. Surmounting big difficulties can seem like walking up to a massive creature that I have no hope of moving or defeating. The little swallows have taught me that with passion, intensity and a burning desire to see life grow and unfold (and the determination to continue against the odds) overcoming what appear to be enormous problems can really be accomplished.
What the crow has taught me is that despite the little stings and pains and danger of losing eye or limb, some things are worth attempting, even if in the end we have to run for it!

you have such a gift for capturing expressions in the eyes. This crow looks so malevolent, I can't stop looking at it. It's almost hypnotic
