Bohemian Waxwings Find Lunch
Photo April 2007

These little guys were having the feast of their lives as they stripped the old apple tree bare of it's winter fruit. A large elm across the way was their lookout and they would fly in squadrons back and forth in the dozens. The air was filled with their sociable chatter and the tree looked like it was suddenly alive with quivering movement.

Aaron,I never knew there was such a gorgeous bird up there in the Frozen North. As of late, I have a new interest in birds. For my birthday I received an Orange Bishop Weaver finch (Ali-Esther is his name). Thank you for sharing with us. That is a beautiful photo.
