Last Evening

It began with a merciful setting of the sun over the hot, humid city. The shadows finally beckoning relief and the promise of a cool breeze. The moon sat on high, watching the orderly proceedings of another night to come, another night over which to rule with silver grace.

Then came the fire rabbit, seemingly broaching the atmospheric waters to give honour to Luna -before chasing the sun down that dark hole of midnight mystery- and to gaze down on all its earthly children slowly waking for a night of foraging and play.

And of course, Man in his entertainment sending up explosions of light to awe and excite, never guessing that there are angels in everything. The universe keeps loving watch as we on our little orb spin away, spin away, and give voice to a silent eternity.

I LOVE the photo of the fire rabbit! I'm always looking skyward for cloud images to speak to me in a celestial language. You have a great imagination...and a poetic way of translating vision into words.
