Mother Earth

What can I say about this painting? It appeals to my earthy, masculine, animal side. In the Slocan Valley (BC), you can find Skunk Cabbage, fiddleheads, morel mushrooms, and so many more amazing gifts of nature. It is in that valley that I discovered the wonderfully sensual aspect of Mother Earth. The textured smells; the deep, intense flavours of the natural foods that grow there; the silky caress of the clouds along the valley sides; the soft, supple earth, fertile and rich, bringing forth an abundance and variety of life. The sky looks down on the earth and is so in love. And so am I.
